Personal Update

Happy June, Friends.

If you’ve noticed that I’ve been quiet these past couple of months, there is a reason.

As I stepped into 2026, God made it clear that it was time to pause the ministry. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what that meant. I thought it was simply a pause in activity. What I didn’t realize was that God was inviting me into a sabbatical season.

If I’m honest, the first month was difficult. Much of my life had been spent moving, building, creating, and pouring out. Slowing down felt unfamiliar and uncomfortable. Yet in the stillness, God began to reveal things that busyness had hidden.

This season has been one of sitting with Him in quiet places. Learning again what it means to ABIDE. To remain close to Jesus without striving. To seek His presence more than productivity.

There have been moments of lament and moments of deep rest. Times of healing, reflection, and surrender. There has also been preparation taking place beneath the surface—building foundations, clarifying vision, dreaming with God, and allowing Him to shape what comes next in His timing rather than my own.

One thing I continue to learn is that God is not only present in the seasons of fruitfulness and visible growth. He is equally present in the hidden seasons. The seasons where roots grow deeper than anyone can see. The seasons where He invites us to trust Him without needing immediate answers.

Perhaps some of you find yourselves in a similar place today. Maybe you’re in a season that feels slower than expected. Maybe God has asked you to wait, to rest, or to release something you’ve held tightly. If so, be encouraged: a pause is not the same as an ending. God often does some of His deepest work in the places that seem quiet and unseen.

What feels hidden to us is never hidden from Him.

As I continue walking through this sabbatical season, I am filled with anticipation for what God is doing and what lies ahead. I don’t have all the details yet, but I am learning that obedience doesn’t require having the full picture—it simply requires trusting the One who does.

Thank you for your prayers, your encouragement, and your grace during this season. I’m excited to share more in the months ahead as God continues to unfold His plans.

With Gratitude,

Dawn Lang
